Ginger Meggs

Ginger Meggs is the longest-running Australian comic strip. It features the escapades of the title character, a red-haired pre-pubescent boy with considerable talent for mischief. Most of the strips include either a sense-moral or a wisdom phrase written on one of the images.

Meggs first appeared, titled Us Fellers, in the "Sunbeams" section of the Sydney Sunday Sun on 13 November 1921, drawn by Jimmy Bancks, and remains widely syndicated today appearing in over 120 newspapers in 32 countries. After Jimmy Bancks, Ginger was drawn by Ron Vivian, then Lloyd Piper and James Kemsley. Ginger Meggs was made into a feature film by Jonathan Dawson in 1982.

He is a funny little fellow. I even have a pair of the brand name boxer shorts. It has a picture of Ginger on it, a mischeivous smirk upon his freckled face, and "Theres a new kid on the block". Its a really funny strip.

Bouncy Balls!

Since its creation, which was like a million years ago, the classic bouncy ball or as some did use to call it, "SuperBall" has always been in favour when it comes to childrens' toys.
Over the years since the invention of the bouncy ball, we have indeed seen more interactive, electronic and battery operated alternatives for the youth of our population.
The days have gone where the absolute maximum of joy, and excitement of a child could be jerked using just a simple rubber sphere.
Although the beauty of the bouncy ball has slowly faded out of our everyday lives, the joy and amusement it used to bring simply will not. Despite games that involve moving levels as a result of mass murder in New York, bouncy balls are, and always will be a classic source of entertainment.

Google's Logos

Over the years, we have all seen quite a spread of logo designs for world renouned search engine, Google (http://www.google.com/) Whether it be a to mark the anniversary of some special date, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and even the launching of the worlds Large Hydron Collider [LHC]. These small touches to a once rather simple logo have been a source of eAmusement for quite some time now. Google Inc. often holds competitions for budding artists to express themselves, and get artsy by creating their very own Google logo. For just a few examples, and I know this is merely a random eRant but for some examples, check these out:

For loads more awesome logo designs, follow the link and have a browse. Note that down the bottom of the page, there is an archive of years. Check out some of the older ones. Some designs are just so creative.

Creepy Voiceovers

We've all seen, heard or maybe even impersonated them. We all know what they are, and no matter the film, that same voice will be there talking all deep and gaspy. The old, croaky voice that sounds like a frog is in the guys throat. In a dark cinema, nothing frightens me more, besides the film, then a black screen and a low voice telling me about the murder that occured on so and so's wedding night. If you dont get me, watch the video.
Give me some input on your thoughts about these ever so creepy voices that always seem to appear out of nowhere.

The Simpsons: Season 20

I am more than pleased to congratulate one of my favourite television shows, The Simpsons, on reaching its 20th Season. This has been one of my favourites for years now, and I just cant get enough of that catchy theme tune. The Simpsons twentieth season began airing on Fox September 28, 2008. The season had officially been confirmed to air by the network in May, 2008. It currently airs in its usual time, Sundays at 8:00 PM. The Simpsons is now tied with Gunsmoke as the longest running American primetime television series.
Congratulations again to all the cast and crew that have remained a part of TV's most loved family.

Captcha's

Dont you just hate these things? On the internet these days, you need to waste at least 17 seconds on these stupid things to access most internet gateways.
Honestly, who gives a flying flip if some stupid bot can create an email address. Congratulations to its builder. These things, are usually called CAPTCHA's. But what the heck is it?
A CAPTCHA or Captcha is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to ensure that the response is not generated by a computer. The process usually involves one computer (a server) asking a user to complete a simple test which the computer is able to generate and grade. Because other computers are unable to solve the CAPTCHA, any user entering a correct solution is presumed to be human.
Leave your comments about these 'Captcha's' because I would love to get some response from other on the invention that way created with good intentions, but now has become an internet pest.

My Favourite Youtubers/Bloggers

It has become quite clear to the internet community that Youtube and Blogger have now become a part of quite a few people's lives. Rather than sitting in front of the TV we now love to watch, and are amused by the videos of Youtubers. I am a proud member of the Youtube clan.

We are now more into Cybernews and gossip we can have and spread with a simple click of a button. My most common source of doing this being Blogger or Blogspot. Not too sure which to call it, but you should get me by the logo > Many of my laughs are jerked by the humor written acrossed certain blogs on this site.

As of everything, we all have our favourites. Here are just a few of my favourite Blogger/Youtubers:
You should really check these channels out because I can assure you - you will not click that red cross button disappointed. These Youtubers are awesome.

HSM3: Senior Year

I am happy to announce, even though I have known for months now, that High School Musical 3: Senior Year will be hitting the big screen on Thursday December 4th 2008!
Exciting?! I know! I am a huge fan of the entire High School Musical, or as we fans say, HSM phenomenon.
I am hoping that the series of fantabulous movies will never end, which is obviously so not going to happen. I am at least hoping for a fourth installment.
I have only heard a few of the songs from the soundtrack at this stage, even though the movie itself is available on the internet already but I am guessing the movie will be yet another hit that I will absolutely love! I am making a recommendation that you see the movie, in advance to my own viewing. Please let me know how it is if you get to see it before me.
